Chalkboards

This week I've been busy doing Chalkboards, I usually do quite a few for Christmas but find that the 'generic' ones do better at craft fairs. They can be used for every occasion imaginable.
I've just had an order from an expectant Mum for a blue Chalkboard with 'Days to go' written on it so 'Mum' can countdown until her due date and then use it every year for the new baby's birthday.
Children like to be able to count down the days or 'sleeps' for all kinds of things including their birthdays or holidays.

Ideal for every occasion
A customers choice

I live quite close to a couple of American Air Force Bases and this Chalkboard is for a little boy whose Daddy is away on duty.

These are a selection of my Christmas Chalkboards that are currently for sale in my Folksy Shop or through my Face Book Page
Now it's time to grab myself a coffee and maybe a biscuit or two and head on over to 1st Unique Gifts to see what everyone else has been up to.

Bye for now

Tree on the Hill

Hello to you all and welcome to any newcomers to my little corner of the blogasphere.
For the last couple of weeks I've been replenishing some artwork that has happily sold. Two of the pieces I sold were bought as a pair. These were the last two from my 'Lone Trees' series of paintings.

This pair of paintings were done using ink and water, a small amount of bleach and a few splatterings of salt.

I love using this technique but you have to be very careful with the bleach, I use a very watered down thin bleach and an old toothbrush to do the splattering.

(These frames are the same but look different colours in this picture)

I have a couple more paintings from my 'Sold' list but I'll save them for my next post.

I hope you can all pop over to Wendy's Blog and check out what the other crafters are up to.

 Take care and stay safe

Plaques and Wish Lists

Hi to you all, I hope you had a great week end, I've had a busy time with family over the last couple of weeks and I've also been busy with my Plaques and paintings. As you can see I have a new Gallery section on this blog to display some of my paintings, unfortunately you cannot comment directly on that page but if anyone wants to comment you can do so in any comment box on my Home Page, I'll always get notification.

I've also started my Christmas Plaques and Wish List Holders.
The Wish List Holders with matching pegs are very popular for Birthdays and Christmas and can be personalised with a message or a name.
It's a great way of letting everyone know what you want for Christmas, or for your Birthday. These also work well if you want to attach a 'Shopping List', a 'Don't Forget' reminder or a 'To Do List'.

They can be found in my Folksy Shop. as well as through my Facebook Page.
